Emergency Procedures

At the time of enrollment parents or caregivers will be asked to:

● authorize emergency medical treatment

● identify emergency contact numbers including parent’s work numbers as well as one additional emergency contact person and their number

● authorize person(s) to pick up children from the center

This information is kept in each child’s individual file.

Parents are responsible to keep this information up-to-date for their child.

In case of emergency in the classroom:

Staff will:

● assess the condition of the individual

● call main office (x3893) for nurse

● call 911, if needed

If parents can’t be reached, call the child’s emergency contact person or physician.

● start emergency procedures (these are started while contacting parents)
