Releasing a child

Only persons listed on the child’s Emergency Contact list have authorization to pick up the child from the center.

On the occasion that someone else needs to pick-up a child from the center, written consent must be given by the caregiver to the appropriate staff at the center.

Parents are responsible for communicating to the staff that someone other than the person(s) designated will be picking up your child.

For safety reasons, any person picking up or dropping off your child must be at least sixteen years of age with a valid picture id.

Staff will ask for picture id if they are not familiar with the individual picking up the child.

If the staff is not comfortable with the pick-up situation, they will call the caregiver immediately for clarification.

In the event of a divorce or separation the center must have on file a certified copy of the most recent court ordered custodial arrangements for the child.

It is the parent’s responsibility to provide this information to the center of changes regarding custody.

n the event of center policy changes, parents will be notified verbally, in writing, and the change will be posted in the center.
