Student Withdrawal

RSEEC-FD strives to create a safe, caring, environment that supports student learning. The center occasionally faces issues where severing the enrollment of a student is required. This policy is not intended to portray negativity, but is a proactive policy for the rare occasion when conflict does occur.

Student enrollment may be terminated for any of the following:

1. Non-payment of required student fees: Student enrollment may be terminated for nonpayment tuition. Additional time to rectify payment status may be allowed, at the discretion of the building administrator.

2. Conflicts regarding standard of care: RSEEC-FD strives to provide the highest level of child care. The center operates under the RSEEC-FD standard operating procedures adopted July 2018 by the Reeds Spring R-IV Board of Education which guides program decisions for child care and facility safety.

3. Extreme and/or inappropriate student behavior: Students whose behavior causes a dangerous environment for our students or staff may be unenrolled from the RSEEC-FD with a two week notice being given in writing. The RSEEC-FD standard operating procedures state that “children shall not be permitted to intimidate or harm others, harm themselves, or destroy property.” If this occurs, the center has the right to dismiss your child immediately and waive the two week notice. Typically, three (3) warnings will be given; however, depending on the severity of the situation, a child may be dismissed immediately at the discretion of the building administrator.

4. Parents, who are not in agreement with the standard of care, are invited to speak with the building administrator. If an agreement cannot be reached to the satisfaction of both parties, the enrollment of the student(s) will be severed.

The family will receive a two (2) week transitional time to seek other childcare arrangements.
