Tips for Comfort

We Learn at Playtime- Indoors & Outdoors

  • Children learn best by exploring their environment, so dress your child ready for action! Please be prepared for days when your child returns home somewhat less clean than when he/she arrived. Each child must have an extra set of clothing at the center, in the event of an accident or spill. Please change out clothing as your child grows or as the seasons change. Please label all children’s belongings!!

  • Any child who is in diapers or is toilet training should be in elastic waist pants (no belts) while at school. This helps the caregiver during diapering as well as helps and supports the child who is toilet training.

  • Shoes and shirts must be worn during program hours. Tennis shoes (that child can remove and put on independently) or other soft-soled shoes, with straps-NO FLIP FLOPS, are the safest for climbing and playing outside.

  • In compliance with the Bureau of Child Care, we will provide a minimum of one hour outside time each day, unless prohibited due to extreme weather conditions.

  • Please remember to dress your child appropriately!

  • RSEEC-FD does not withhold physical activity as a form of discipline.
